Well, just a couple more days and my mama will be here! Yeah! Been waiting for this day.Wish Papa could come too!!!! In the last several days.......we had a fire, a couple of friends have been to the emergency room, and a green house fell in due to the amounts of snow. Yes, friends, it has been one of those weeks. Despite all of this, though, work has been good, and life in general...... there is lots to be thankful for........It's snowing now and has been for a good day and a half. It's pretty as it falls on the trees...and the light, oh the February light coming through the windows is pretty as it shines through. Tennessee will also get some snow tomorrow.....and that is real exciting ....almost 5 inches! wow! I always looked forward to that kind of snow...a nice treat to a somewhat uneventful winter season was always welcomed. Yes, I know, I will get tired of this snow here...........I got the story. Anyway, after all the craziness passed during the week.....the silver linings did present themselves.......Cooper wrote the sweetest book- a poem he created and illustrated himself- it really captured his life well. He loves his brother (and sister) sometimes! lol.
Our small fire was scary. Very scary for me because not one of us had ever experienced anything like it in our lives! It all happened so quickly- cooking- that panic was something! The 911 person didn't help matters because he couldn't understand ANYTHING I was saying.....on another note.....it also reminded me of Brock's video of Sweet Brown......take a look below. Hillary didn't grab no shoes or nothin' she was runnin' for her life........Cooper was holding her so her feet wouldn't get cold. I was finally able to think and smother the fire while Gary and I was fighting it with all we had.....crazy! An experience none of us will forget!
Games were cancelled due to snow last Monday - it was another coastal storm got about a foot of snow out of this one...but school was on as normal. Thursday we enjoyed a great dinner with some friends at Harpoon Brewery in Windsor....good times and a great singer performed while we had dinner there!!!!
Friday was fun at school we had awards day recognition at school and afterwards we played the 8th grade teams in staff verses students game......! FUN times ....loved it!Shane came home with Brock and they also went to a movie - American Sniper & Village Pizza. Coop, Hilly, Gary, and I all made chocolate covered strawberries together. Yum.
Saturday was practice for Hillary (last one) and Morgan , Jade, and I carried out the practice. It was a fun time and sadly, our last practice....it was a sweet little season. I think Hillary will miss playing......Hillary went to Ava's for the girls' high school game, and we later went to visit with Joe and Morgan and pick up Hilly.....another winter storm is here!!!!!! Happy Valentines!!!!!!!!
Cooper played in Hanover against Newport and they won! He scored...and played well. Great Job!
