My mother left yesterday .....lo and behold (my New Year's Resolution to use it more, yes, Mama, I am:) As I dropped her off at the airport, and we said our goodbyes...her flight was cancelled!!! Oh my, as if anything else could happen....but that's our luck!
In 2009, I thought I was stuck in New England.....(that wouldn't had been such a bad thing though). Plane part....then plane part again....a series of debarking and embarking....and then finally cancelled. So, at least my mother was used to it....it's kind of how we roll, right? Our adventures are full of wrong turns, different paths, and messed up flights. ha.
She is now home.....and Hillary went today for another gymnastics lesson. She seems to truly love it! She went home with Ava to swim at her grandmother's house yesterday. It left me with time on my hands, so my mother and I went to Blue Moon Dog Café ( a little coffee house/deli with a French flare). Nice surroundings...in the small town of Chester. Afterwards, we did a small amount of antique shopping, just what we could manage before I had to drive her back to Connecticut.
