ahhh. it's quiet, shhhh for now. I just finished two basketball games......didn't do TOO badly. Our little team are scrappers, that's for sure!
Today: colder, gray, bare, white sky, cloudy, wintry. I'm sitting fireside while the younger ones are doing artsy activities (Hillary), Brock (organizing his room, yes, these times flare up from time to time), and Cooper (shooting a 22 with his Papa....I actually hear them on the four wheeler now :) Tonight Gary's band will perform at the local VFW for a cancer benefit for a lady of the community.
As of late I think my students are, just now, finally, understanding an essay. I teach inclusion, and as you know we write for evidence....all the time it seems. We read, respond, and write. We site stuff all the time. Claims, thesis, opinions, arguments, main ideas....are mostly interchangeable concepts kids have to be accustom too as the wording often trips them up on the standardized testing. (Insert, the notion of sarcasm to the fact that I think standardized testing and their foolery is a bunch of nonsense ((in most cases))....end of discussion.
Now. What about a snow day? Can we get one this week. I'm hopeful. Cooper and Brock miss skiing that's for sure.
Brock seems to be enjoying EHHS now. He just feels more at home at his home. He wanted an honest try at NCS, and so we did.....good experiences all the way around- lessons learned through all experiences good and bad. Brock is playing basketball and enjoying his classes. We had all the kids make A's .....Brock had 2 B's, Proud of them for sure. We didn't win the lottery......dang it.......It was at 1 billion! Someone from Tennessee did though.
I have really enjoyed reading the story of this young man: #coreprinciples

I'm looking for a new book to read.....My search is currently this for the top of the list: So, what do ya think? It's always a bonus if the mind can be opened more, spirit lifted, and goodness planted for life.
