~Tennessee Snow~

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
~ R. Frost
Currently, taking in the day. Reflecting. Nice.....stress free for the moment. It is quite delightful. It could change any second....millisecond. But, for now...silence. How lucky we were to be snowed in today. To take in the beauty of Luther Lane on a perfect bounty of snow. And how quickly Robert Frost came to mind when Hillary and I took a trail in the morning and just listened to what the snow had to say: silence. We all just hung out. Later, Brock joined us outside, too. I made several trips outside....hiking, exercising, enjoying, feeding, and playing. It is so wonderful to see this place this way.....it's been a while....maybe since I was a kid myself....at least for this deep.

We visited with my mama and papa. Cooper went to visit his Grammy and Pappy for a day. Tomorrow......he'll be home. All games are canceled.....and our road out of here seems doomed. As I hear it, we are in a state of emergency.

The wind howls outside as I type, and the fire glows. Boredom will soon hit soon, even for me. The outdoors does take care of that urgency and then it sets in on all of us. By the looks of the forecast, it may be we will be out of school for a while. Temperatures will drop over the next few days.....the news, oh, that news, has been on all day. Interviewing people to recount everything from the simplest of details. It's funny in some ways and crazy in others.

Boredom I've always thought breeds creativity. It's something I arrived at being an only child (well, for the most of my life). Today I've invented several things in my mind....but nonetheless, worthy of consideration:
 1) Bon Aqua Nature Center
2) Sunset Saturdays- open child theater / outdoor movie for community kids.
3) A new bulletin board for school: order lettering for it today.

So, see this snow day wasn't wasted completely on laziness....although I may have looked the part:)

Enjoy this white brightness where ever you may be. xoxo

Brock and Hillary

Do you support or not support the common sense gun laws? No, I do not support it because it does not allow the mentally ill to have guns.....had to share this one.

My love of the Green Mountains.......yes, climb it.

Announced by all the trumpets of the sky,
Arrives the snow, and, driving o'er the fields,
Seems nowhere to alight: the whited air
Hides hills and woods, the river, and the heaven,
And veils the farm-house at the garden's end.
The sled and traveller stopped, the courier's feet
Delayed, all friends shut out, the housemates sit
Around the radiant fireplace, enclosed
In a tumultuous privacy of storm.
